As of April of last year, I moved to New Orleans. Its my first Mardi Gras.
I can say that, though I’ve enjoyed it, I’ve had a bit of frustration.
I’m not much of one for drinking, and the parades are what I was really looking forward to.
The problem is that I’m very short and people are total jerks. I barely caught anything at Endymion because the three cigarette smoking women who wouldn’t even allow their little children to stand on the ladders they brought caught absolutely everything, right to the point of snatching it from peoples hands. And you couldn’t see anything because those three were standing in the way.
I almost went up to one great big wench and punched her in the face for how rude she was being right down to the condescension dripping from her.
Even her husband was disgusted with her behavior and handed me a set of beads before I left.
I want to enjoy the parades on Tuesday, I really do, but after that I’m a little turned off.
So next year I want to come prepared.
My husband and I talked about getting tickets to the stands that line the streets.
There are alot of stands that line the streets but the problem seems to be that I can’t find any of them online (well… I found one) so that we can buy advanced tickets.
Does anyone have links to those websites? Thank you.

I am thinking of investing in a coffee franchise. I plan to buy a coffee kiosk or mobile cart with a coffee company.

Im a single female aged 44 with no children. Ive had a couple of longterm relationships since the death of my partner 10yrs ago.
I rent a room as i could never afford to get on the property ladder ..my late partner and i had rented our place before he died.
Im beginning to feel this is the reason guys dont want to make any further communication with me once they know my personal circumstances..it appears to be about what you have in material worth than who you are as a person.
I work full time ..not in debt ..own my own car ..lead a full life and would dearly love to meet a man ..not to rescue me rather to enhance both our lives with the love and qualities i have to bring to a relationship.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and respond if you choose to.

actually we have 60 users and most of them are having the administrative privilage.that means they r in the administrator group.now the problem what we are facing we need to create and keep some folders in the network.and it shold be accessable only for some particular users others can’t open the contents.but when we are trying for that in the securities it’s showing everyone full control.we don’t want to give full control for every one.only for some particular users.how can we perform it.is it possible through power user group.if so means how can we create new power users from this existing condition.or we want to redesign our entire network for resolve this problem.if u have any solution for this plz send as soon as possible with necessory steps.thanks.

They can be recent, classic, overlooked, bestsellers, whatever.
I’m just looking for the typical small-kid-blossoming-into-something storyline. The more epic the better, even if the ending sucks (think An American Tragedy).
If you can’t think of anything, digging up a list that someone else made online would be fabulous.
Thanks !
anon – Holden didn’t do shhit, I don’t think he qualifies. If he were a real kid, he’d grow up, decades later, to drunkenly tell people at parties about the one time he boned that NYC prostitute when absolutely. nothing. went. down.

I’m going to buy a small business for 12k. I need advice.?
I know how to run the business because I have been working there for four years. I just don’t know anything about finances or what I need to do to get started. I will have a partner and we are splitting the costs 50/50. It’s a kiosk at a mall but it brings in a lot of money. Any tips or advice. We are going to pay the owner off in a period of 3 months 4k a month. The rent is 2,050 and we pay on commission. I want to do everything right and by the book. There is no franchise fee we buy wholesale from a distributer out of Richardson, Texas. The product is $3 a package and it sells for $20-$30. I have been doing this for 4 years and managing the one that I am about to purchase for exactly a year. Mall overage is 2% and insurance, phone, and credit card is about $400. On an average with me working by myself I make about $2,000 a week and from that I get 30%. So I make $600 a week with my commissions.

1-How about its just like any other business…such as buying a franchise – except when you ask to see their income from mlm (or even their upline who supposedly are successful) its suddenly personal income and none of your business. As if you would ever buy a franchise without looking at the working numbers of the same franchise in other locations.
2-How about “its a ground floor opportunity” or “the time will never be the same to get involved” yet on the other hand the entire compensation plan is for people to be continually signing up forever, with it being geometric so 2, 3, 5 years from now, there will need to be exponentially more people needed to be coming in to continue the same oppotunity…but somehow the opportunity is better now than it will be in the future!
3-How about MLM has a system that cuts out the middle man and advertising costs, yet now several layers of people get paid and MLM products are always more expensive than market.
Tons more. Let’s hear ‘em…
haha…i don’t know if its “hypocritical” per se…but this first answer sure is a testament to the mind set of the MLMer. Every second they get, they are always pitching their MLM bullsh*t. LOL. I post a question about hypocrites in MLM and the first post in someone pitching me their MLM. Man, no wonder MLM has such a bad rep…let it go! Priceless.
Mexico4me: Thanks for your amusing response. Why would I have interested in a business that is set up to fail. Anyone with common sense knows that a geometrically growing network, even 2×2, eventually gets so large its unsustainable. You call that residual income…gimme a break.
Obvious I subscribe to a 45 year plan? Nice work, but your ignorance is showing. Would it kill you to even look at my profile first before making assumption. I am a real estate investor by trade and live off income from apartment buildings. You talk of residual income as though an mlm business actually provides such…but you are dependent on the hope that your downline continues to grow at unrealistic rates, where I, as a real estate investor, am merely dependent on people needing a placer to live.
Rants about MLM? Get a clue…i posted a question in regard to the amusing statements you always hear associated with MLM and you get overly defensive….pahleeeeze!
