I don’t know if I should get a bill consolidation loan, or sign up with something like American Consumer Credit Councelors. I have two part time jobs now. I would really like to quit the second one, it’s very stressful and the hours suck, and every year there is a work slow down that lasts about three months and I file for unemployment until we go back. I want to find something else, but jobs are hard to find in Northern Michigan. I’m a divorced mom, with an 18 yr who still lives with me, and is going to school, but no job. My child support stopped, but I’m still supporting him. My home and car are paid off (part of the divorce). But my car is 8 yrs old and has almost 200,000 miles on it…it’s not going to last much longer, and I can’t afford a car payment and my house needs work. I just feel like the walls are closing in on me. What can I do? I have some money in a retirement mutual fund, should I use that to kill some of the debt?

I’ve scoured the internet for a solution and have come up empty handed, so now I’m coming to you guys for help. Bear with me, I’ll try to make the problem as clear as I can.
I have Verizon Fios in my house, broadcasting wifi through a router that Verizon gave us. The problem comes when I try to connect my laptop to the network. It will connect to it fine, but for an undetermined amount of time the connection will fall off and reconnect. It sucks when I can only navigate 3 pages on the internet before I have to wait 60 seconds for it to reconnect to go another 3 pages. This usually lasts for at least an hour, and I have tried everything to fix it. The settings for the network on my laptop are what they should be, I have the WEP code correct, all that stuff is fine. I’ve tried changing the frequency of the broadcast through my router’s settings but to no avail. I’ve tried upping security, dropping security, changing the password, everything I can think of.
Is there a way I can connect my old router to broadcast the FIOS connection, or do I have to use that one they gave me? Or does anyone know of another way to fix this problem?
I know it isn’t my laptop, because my mother has a laptop that this happens to as well, and we’re both running different versions of Windows (one’s XP one’s Vista).
I would be grateful for any help you guys can give. Thanks!

this is my situation but it doesn’t have a Solution
“Computer turns on but nothing shows on screen. If your computer seems to be receiving power after turning it on but you don’t see anything on your monitor, try these troubleshooting steps.
In these situations, the power lights will stay on, you’ll likely hear the fans inside your PC running, and you may or may not hear one or more beeps coming from the computer.
This situation is probably the most common in my experience working with computers that won’t start. Unfortunately it’s also one of the most difficult to troubleshoot”
it also had another error before the situation above after I removed the spare network card I installed
after removing the network card I Started up the PC and everything worked so I played DJ MAX TRILOGY but i had to do something so i just left the game running in MISSION mode. then when i returned i press down to choose a mission , nothing the PC had froze. then the pc come to this error message:
“ERROR
0191:SYSTEM SECURITY – INVALID REMOTE CHANGE REQUESTED
ERROR
0186:SECURITY HARDWARE LOGIC CONTROLL ERROR
ERROR
SYSTEM HALTED”
It sometimes works and continues on to windows xp but it eventually just freezes and comes back to the problem.
PLEASE HELP!!!

I’m 25 years old, married with no children. My husband and I are struggling financially, to put it lightly. We owe about $8000 on our car, and have about $10,000 in other credit card debt. And we’re total morons and bought a time share when we had extra money last year. Now we just can’t keep up and my husband’s work has been very slow while I’ve been trying to go to school full time and work around 55 hours a week. I’m about at my breaking point. Should we file for bankruptsy? The thought of a house seems impossible anytime in the near future anyways. My payments on the credit cards are just covering the interest and the balance isn’t going down. Any financial suggestions would be helpful. I’ve considered debt consolidation but I know that won’t help with the car, time share and other stuff. And I want to find a trusted debt consolidation company. We also both have student loans. We’re a mess!! Please help.

I have a good credit, was never late for any payment and I did purchase a home in November of 2005. With the hope that I was going to get home equity, refinance and get money to pay my debits, I realized later that it wasn’t going happen because of the bad property value market for sellers in Massachusetts today. The house was purchased for 420K and the current appraisal is about 390K. Well, that said, I need to act soon. Since things didn’t work the way I planned, today I owe 24K in credit cards, 7K in school loan, 9K in auto loan, and 5K in other loans (total about 45K) an average of 1K of minimum payment per month and my mortgage payment is 3,200 per month. The other services bills such as oil heat, water, sewer, electricity, phone etc. sums up to 1K per month. I feel that everything is out of control. Also, I have a family member that’s really ill right now and he’s living with me. My job is not profiting as it should and my salary has been cut down a bit. I make now 1K per week after taxes which hasn’t been enough to live normally anymore, and I haven’t mentioned food and other normal life expense such transportation. I had some cash reserve that I was able to keep payments up to date. Now I have an average of 6.2K of bills per month and I earn 4K per month (2.2K per every month behind). Since 2000 I have never delayed one single bill payment, but now that the cash reserve is gone I’m really afraid what’s going to happen from here on. What can I do in this situation: Short Sale, Foreclosure, Debit Consolidation, bankruptcy? Please help!

Hello. I am currently a substitute teacher in the state of NY. My income is about $20,000 a year however, I have over $100,000 worth of student loans. My loan payments are over $2000 a month which is more than my monthly income. I took out the loans with 3 different cosigners because at a point, my parents weren’t getting approved to cosign for me because they bought a house and their credit got shot. I’ve only been out of school for a year, but it just seems like it will never happen. What makes it worse is that the majority of these loans are from private loans, not Staford. (About $100,000 of it.) They are currently on hardship deferment but I can only do that for so long. I don’t have any credit really to get a consolidation loan, and I am not asking my best friends dad again to cosign for me on a consolidation loan for over $100,000. Banks aren’t even giving out loans now because of everything. I’m also forced to go back to school and finish my Masters degree within 4 years to retain my certification, which costs money. I don’t what I am going to do. I don’t necessarily want to give up my loans, but since they are private loans, would I qualify for chapter 11 bankruptcy since i am working as a civil servant? If anybody has any suggestions please let me know. Thanks!

I am able to finish preseason but my team will not advance. It shows that preseason is over in my week but does not allow me to go to the regular season. Any tips? The manual I received does not tell me how to get out of preason.

I’ve no practical experience in wireless internet access.
I am just trying to see if I can find a solution in helping my boss to solve his connection problem.
His notebook wireless connection signalled “weak” when he tried to access the wireless network at home (before that the connection was fine).
Heard about SSID and the security key, not sure if we need to do any settings of the SSID or the security key in my boss’ notebook in order to get connected?
Seek your advise and thanks in advance.
He told me that his son’s notebook is able to get connected. I suppose he did testings for both notebook at the same location which is near to the router.
