I have an awesome restaurant idea. I have a huge potential customer base for this idea, which is between 20-60 million Americans who have specific dietary needs that are not addressed on any menu that I have seen. Basically, I have the concepts for the menu items, which I think will really help out this group of people. I don’t really want to run the restaurant myself, mainly because I have never worked in one and don’t want to quit my day job. There are so many millions of people that could be helped by the ideas I have, but it is difficult to know where to begin. Basically, I want to get paid for my intellectual property, so I was looking at the idea of selling franchises. I just don’t know where to begin. Can I sell a menu, or do I need a business plan? How do I pitch my ideas without having them stolen? Do I look for an investment angel, or do I take out a small business loan?

What is the best approach for someone who doesn’t actually want to run the restaurant?

Im in debt between 5,000-7,000. (Don’t Judge me I made a mistake!) Now they are tripping me out and I am approved for a loan from school that I will be getting after the holidays but I am scared that I can’t wait. I have tried every avenue and they will not budge with me. I want to make a balance transfer but have closed my credit card accounts for now and I wanted to know if a debt consolidation loan or anything like that is actually helpful. Does anyone know of a place where I can get a quick loan or anything helpful for me to solve this problem??? Please help me! (And I can’t borrow money from any family or friends that is not an option for me) Oh and Ideally I would like to pay it off in the next few weeks before I get “Sued” apparently.Thanks!
I am actually currently in collections and I have been trying to get a monthly payment with them but they are telling me no and that I need to pay two payments of 3500 which is insane and I can’t do that right now. And in regards to the loan, I am approved for one but I am waiting to recieve the money which I will probably get after the holidays, and I am saying that the collection agency is telling me I might get sued by then by the main creditor.

What would be the best franchise to start in 2010 with the best probability to outperform the competition?

please give me some ideas and recommendations, the more info the better. Also if you could inform me on how to go about getting financing for starting a franchise that would be helpful.

I did try to find good articles or answers to this question online, but I couldn’t. My question is basically about the process of researching & maybe surveying a specific location in order to come up with a shortlist of–say–one to three business types that would be ideal to start or open particularly in that spot. So you’re not looking for a franchise to buy or a prime location, no, you actually already have a location or property and you’re trying to find the most ideal types of business or service/product provider that you can start or open in it. What are the (research) companies that provide such a service and maybe survey the population in the immediate vicinity of a certain spot? And what are the companies that would already have valuable intelligence to use for this purpose? What are these companies called? What are some keywords that can help me find more info online? I don’t think simply “research companies” will do it. Can you recommend books? Many thanks for your help.

And basically we don’t want to go to debt consolidation since it affects credit scores then and can affect the rates you get for car loans, etc. and we make a good income but just have almost nothing left in disposable income after paying all of the debts and medical school loans. Other than living on much less, claiming bankruptcy, or getting a second job and applying all of this extra money saved to credit cards is there some other thing we are not thinking of that other Americans do to get out from under so much debt?

I did home-based child daycare at one point when I was homeschooling my daughter. I’m currently a classroom teacher and am quite happy with it, but still think that eventually I’d like to leave the classroom. In looking at options, I’ve always enjoyed childcare and working with kids. I was thinking of one day opening my own daycare center. Does anyone know if it’s beneficial to buy a franchise or am I better off flying solo?
