How do you replace a dead light bulb that’s recessed in an extremely high ceiling?

Using a ladder won’t do the trick because the light’s above a staircase. I’ve seen those telescoping-arm poles on infomercials and in-flight catalogs, but I don’t know where to find them online or in a store. If this is the best way to do it, does anyone know where to find one?

You can go to most hardware stores or warehouse home stores. They have them. or they can tell you where to get them. Call around first to save time and gas.

That’s the best tool, short of a really high ladder that might not even work well on the staircase.

Try calling an electrician to come and do the job for you! I’m sure they have all the most professional tools to help you get it done! Think about it, who put it up there in the first place?

Telescoping arm poles for this purpose are available at hardware stores such as Home Depot. They have light bulb holder attachments at the end. I’ve had good experience with mine.
