How much money do you make with a Dairy Queen franchise?
I am looking to open a Dairy Queen in New Hampshire. I was wondering how much you make and how it works. It would be on my property so I wouldnt need to lease. I wanted to know how much I get and what DQ gets.
Thanks for the answer william but I know how to search things on the internet. Im looking for people who have done this and can give me examples. not what it says on the DQ website

How much can you make is the more logical question. Is your location a high traffic spot? Is there a market and/or high demand for Dairy Queen? Is there competition?
You would still incur construction costs. You may incur equipment costs.

(Click the Costs and Fees tab)
By the way, you should know that all franchise fees come off the top (gross), not off your profits.
Funny that I found this information in about 45 seconds.

I work at a DQ that my boss franchises and owns. He bought it from someone else, so I’m not sure what the fees exactly are. He bought a little ice cream only DQ, but I think they only let you franchise the Dairy Queen Brazier, or DQ Orange Julius restaurants now. That’s what he said last year. I’ve heard you pay a whole lot, around 100,000 dollars for the franchise rights, and there might be more fees. After everything is paid off, I believe you can keep the rest of the profits. DQ comes out to inspect your store one or two times a year to make sure you are following their guidelines.
In the right location, DQ is VERY profitable. My store is one of the first stores built, and one of the busiest locations in the state. I would reccommend building a drive thru if you can, because our DQ gets more business because of it’s drive-thru.
That’s all I pretty much know right now. I would call DQ corperation to find more information before you make your final decision and everything, or maybe even a DQ that has done this before (not one near you, or they may not help!)
