ok, so we just got a jacobs ladder plant, i have not seen anything on this in any guide i’ve found online. is there a reason we got this does it do anything special??

It does not do anything special. It is, however, a sign that you have achieved a “perfect” town. Maintain your perfect town for 16 days, and you’ll receive a Golden water can when you talk to the bird behind the counter at your town hall.

I doesn’t mean anything really special except that your town is in excellent condition. Having the Jacobs Ladder is a good sign that you are on your way to a perfect town.
