I haven’t heard this one, but I recall some years back a story on an article show who jumped from airplanes and just before he hit the ground he would float the rest of the way. He could demonstrate it by jumping off a ladder. I really don’t know how real it was and I am sorry to say I don’t remember the details.
However, not long ago, I also recall a Skydiver named Michael Holmes who dropped out of a plane 2 miles high. Both his chutes failed and he plummeted to the earth at full speed and lived to tell the tale.
From time to time stories like this pop up. One thing you have to understand though, is that an average man reaches maximum velocity at about 30 feet, which means falling 2 miles is about the same as falling 30 feet. So, someone falling 30 feet and living is just as miraculous as falling from an airplane.
There are many factors that come into play when it comes to surviving a fall.
